The River Bend is located on a natural
bend of the Washita River. (See aerial photo below)

About the
property:
Our unique
property offers such a variety of natural surroundings all in one
location -- mountain, river, pond, woods, and meadow. These
surroundings are tied together through a nature trail beginning on the
South side of the property behind the lodges 1&2 and proceeding East
downhill towards the river, jutting out to the meadow then along the
river bank to the bend in the river, then heading back West on the North
side of the place closer to lodge #3 and ending in the west where the
large power lines are located.
One can
experience the river by walking down the trail towards the river or by
taking a drive directly across the meadow (pasture road begins next to &
behind pond dam) to the bend in the river then descending down to the
lower bank by foot. The bend is the best access point to the river;
however for the more adventurous it can be accessed all along the upper
bank nature trail through more overgrown areas. You can fish in the
pond in the center of the property or various locations along the
river. The better fishing spots along the river are located in deeper
enclaves where water traps & swirls.
